After woman catches man sneaking into her home, he tells her he's law enforcement, according to Prince William County Police.

Investigators are looking for a man who, when caught sneaking into a woman's home, told her that he was a police officer, according to Prince William County Police.

The victim told police she was sitting in her home at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Ivy Court in Woodbridge. She heard a knock at the door, but decided to ignore it. Shortly later, a man walked into an unlocked side door, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

"During the encounter, the man verbally identified himself as a government law enforcement agent and requested her identification," Perok said. "After providing the man with her name, the man left the residence without further incident and got into a vehicle."

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5’2”, 200lbs with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a green reflective vest with black shoes.

His vehicle was described as a blue, pick-up style truck with a metal tool box in the bed.
