Crime Blotter: Woodbridge-Area Burglaries

Residents in the Woodbridge area recently reported the following burglaries.

Woodbridge-area residents recently reported the following apparently unrelated burglaries, and an attempted burglary, to the Prince William County Police Department. 

Nov. 12: At 12:35 p.m., police responded to the 13400 block of Photo Drive in Dale City for a burglary. A homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Police believe entry was made through a back door which was forced open. $850 worth of jewelry was reported missing.

Nov. 12: At 7:31 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Eaton Ct in the Dale City area, where a resident reported to a burglary occurred between 10 a.m. and 7:25 p.m. The burglar likely entered through a basement window, which the resident found open. A console with games and equipment, valued around $1,300, were missing.

Nov. 12: At 7:33 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Evansdale Rd in Dale City for an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., someone tried to enter into the home through a window, which was damaged. Police do not believe anyone entered the building; the homeowner did not report any missing property. 

Nov. 13: Police responded at 5:30 p.m. to the 11800 block of Parliament Dr in the Lake Ridge area for a report of a burglary. The homeowner reported that the burglary occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 5 p.m., police said. The burglar appeared to have entered through a basement window which was broken out. The resident reported that a TV, DVD player, printer, computer, and other property, valued around $5,500, were stolen.

Nov. 13: At 1:30 p.m., police responded to a construction site on the 2450 block of Harbor Station Way in Dumfries, where employees reported that the burglary occurred between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. The burglar likely entered the two construction trailers through a window which was broken out. The employees reported that a TV, several computers, and other property, valued around $2,500, were missing.

Nov. 13: At 2:34 p.m., police responded to the 13400 block of Princedale Dr in Dale City, where a resident reported that between 6:55 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., an unknown person attempted to enter the residence through a back sliding glass door, which was forced open. Police do not believe that anyone entered the building. The resident did not report any missing property.
