D.C. Man Charged With Robbery, Malicious Wounding in Woodbridge

The victim was reportedly assaulted with a firearm.

Police have charged Washington, D.C., resident Clarence Lambert, 21, with robbery, malicious wounding, and using a firearm in commission of a felony after a 45-year-old Woodbridge man was reportedly assaulted and robbed on East Longview Drive on Sept. 10, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police arrived at 6 a.m. that same day to the 1300 block of East Longview Drive, responding to the report of a robbery. 

"The victim, a 45-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking to his residence, in the above area, when he was approached by an unknown man, later identified as the accused," Perok said. "The accused displayed a firearm and attempted to remove property from the victim’s pockets. The victim moved in an attempt to get away from the victim, at which time, the accused assaulted the victim with the firearm."

After an investigation, police found and arrested the accused. The victim had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Lambert's court date is Oct. 22. He is being held without bond.
