Daily Police Update: Shooting in Independent Hill, Motorcylist Dies, Burglary

Prince William County Police responded to a call about shots fired at the 4700 block of Conway Dr. in Independent Hill this morning at 7:13 a.m. While the investigation continues, it is clear that two known acquaintances exchanged gun fire in residence on Conway Drive. All involved parties have been identified and brought into custody of the police.

The motorcyclist involved in the Aug. 28 crash at Cardinal Drive and Mendoza Lane died yesterday. Prince William County Police state that the victim, identified as Mhomad Harres Husseini, 27 of 15760 Nimes Ct. in Woodbridge, succumbed to his injuries as a result of the crash. An investigation is ongoing, and speed is allegedly a factor in this incident. 

Two arrests were made in conjunction with a burglary at the 13400 block of Greenacre Drive in Woodbridge on Aug. 30. The homeowner reported that the accused, Johnathan Jose Pardo, 23, of 15036 Alabama Ave. in Woodbridge, and   Vanessa Neomi Velasquez, 21, of 15036 Alabama Ave. in Woodbridge took items from the residence while the homeowner was out. Velasquez and Pardo are charged with grand larceny and burglary.
