Dale City Man Charged With Raping Gainesville Woman as a Child

The rapes reportedly happened at two separate Lake Ridge area addresses.

A 50-year-old Dale City man has been charged with rape and forcible sodomy after a 34-year-old Gainesville woman told police that she had been raped between the ages of 5 and 19 years old by a known acquaintance, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Detectives from the Special Victims Bureau began investigating the reported sexual assaults on July 10. The rapes reportedly happened at two addresses in the Lake Ridge area, one in the area of Rainbow Court and the other in the area of Bancroft Lane.

The accused was arrested after the investigation and has been charged with five counts of rape, five counts of aggravated sexual battery, five counts of forcible sodomy, and five counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.

His court date is unavailable. He is being held without bond.

Rape is one of those crimes that many can not understand; why it happened, if it happened, and why not reporting it earlier? Hopefully the delay did not put any other victims at risk and the one making the report has been, or will get, the help they need. And if this accused is guilty (not always the case), I hope "Bubba" visits him MANY times more than the victims 14 years.

I'm confused here , why are these crimes arent beibg reported when it happens , we talking yrs ago for this ,,,,,,, makes NO sense, why wasnt this told to to her parents when it happened, now shes a full adult 34 yrs old, something is very wrong with this picture, who si right here . make no mistake what was done is completly wrong, but the victim was old enough to tell this to her parents, Ain't that much bribery of candy in the world, and if he is guilty , he deserves to be punished, too much of this is being reported, taking advantage of inncocent children is wrong , but I still question Why is this just being reported so many years has gone by , I'm sure everything hasn't been told , and we will never know , but again Children are innocent and shouldnt have to go through such pain/ torture,
