Richard Washington, 23, of Ensbrook Lane in Dale City, is wanted for robbery and assault and battery, after a 20-year-old Dale City resident claimed that he had been attacked and robbed in his own home, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

The victim told police that two of his acquaintances had reportedly assaulted and robbed him of a $650 watch after he invited them into his home in the 14300 block of Westminster Lane on July 12.

By the time police arrived at 9:58 p.m., both of the alleged robbers had already left.

"Detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau were able to identify both men, one of which was determined to be a 15-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge. Warrants were obtained against the adult suspect. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful," Perok said.

The victim was minorly injured. The investigation continues.

Washington is described as a black male, 6-foot-3, 165 pounds, of a thin build with black hair and brown eyes. He is wanted for robbery and assault and battery.
