Dale City Man Wanted For Grand Larceny, Assault and Battery

The victim had minor injuries.

Dale City man Clayton Holly is wanted for grand larceny and assault and battery after an incident in which a Woodbridge woman was reportedly assaulted and robbed, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

On Sept. 4 at about 6 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the 13700 block of Gilbert Road. Police reports said the 27-year-old victim told police that she and Holly, an acquaintance of hers, were in an argument.

"During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and took her phone," Perok said. "The victim was eventually able to get the phone back and contacted police. Following the assault, the accused grabbed the victim’s laptop and car keys and exited the residence. The victim confronted the accused outside of the residence, at which point, the accused slammed the laptop on the ground rendering it inoperable. The accused then fled the residence in the victim’s vehicle."

When officers arrived, they found that a vehicle matching the victim's vehicle's description had run into a lamp post along Glendale Drive. A resident's lawn in the 4300 block was damaged.

"The driver was seen by witnesses fleeing the area on foot," Perok said. "Evidence from the scene confirmed the driver was the accused. Following the investigation, multiple warrants were obtained against the accused. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful."

The victim had minor injuries.

Holly is described as a black male, about 5-foot-8, weighing about 180 pounds, of a medium build with short black hair, brown eyes, and a beard. He is wanted for two counts of grand larceny, two counts of destruction of property, one count of assault and battery, one count of unauthorized use of vehicle, one count of hit and run, and one count of driving on a revoked license.
