Police: Crack Cocaine Operation Discovered in Dale City

At the end of a drug investigation, police arrested a man who is accused of selling crack cocaine, according to Prince William County Police.

A Dale City man faces multiple charges after Prince William County Police found crack cocaine at his home.

Jerome Clifton Batten, 30, of Island House Loop, is charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic, distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic and possession of a schedule I or II narcotic. 

Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Batten's home Wednesday. They found cocaine, packaging materiels and an undisclosed amount of money, said Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the police department.

Police subsequently arrested Batten during a traffic stop near the Prince William County Parkway and Hoadley Road. His court date is set for July 5. 

A woman who was in the car at the time of the arrest—but who police do not believe was otherwise involved in the operation—is also charged with possession of marijuana. She was released on a court summons.
