Dumfries Man Dead in Woodbridge Crash

Car crash happened at 2:44 a.m. this morning.

A Dumfries man died in a crash early Saturday morning after police said he lost control of the vehicle, spun out, struck a curb and was ejected from the car.

Prince William County Polices spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that the driver of a 1996 GMC Jimmy was traveling eastbound on River Heritage Blvd when he struck a curb and flipped across the median into the westbound lanes.

Police said that the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was partially ejected from the car. The driver was identified as Nana Kwadwo Nsiah, 24 of Dumfries.

Prince William County Fire and Rescue arrived at River Heritage Blvd and Jefferson Davis Highway at 2:44 a.m. Saturday morning and pronounced Nsiah dead at the scene.

Police said that the Nsiah was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and that a preliminary investigation shows alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
