Fire Breaks Out in Ruby Tuesday Utility Closet

The Fire Marshal's Office estimated $2,000 worth of damages.

A fire broke out in a utility closet at the Ruby Tuesday's in Dumfries Tuesday afternoon, according to the Prince William County Fire and Rescue Department.

Fire and rescue units responded at 1 p.m. to the fire on Jefferson Davis Highway and saw smoke showing from the rear. Smoke alarms had alerted employees and diners to the fire, so the building was already evacuated. No one was injured.

The fire started in a utility closet, where firefighters extinguished it, said Kim Hylander, a public information officer for the department. There was no further extension of the fire.
