Fire Response at Chimera Place

A call that originated as a townhouse fire ended up with a ventilation fan.

Fire units were called out to the intersection Chimera Place and Blue Pool Drive this morning off of Powells Creek Drive for a potential townhouse fire.

According to scanner traffic, inside a townhouse on Chimera Place an oven was being cleaned and it caught on fire. The oven was locked, in a self-cleaning mode, and was smoking.

The fire response was amended to keep an engine and ladder truck on the scene while firefighters brought in a ventilation fan to dissipate the smoke. There was so damage done to the outside of the house and no injuries were reported.
