Fugitive of the Week: Man Wanted for Abduction, Assault

A Manassas woman told police that Barfield held her against her will at a residence in Dumfries, Prince William County Police said.

Prince William County Police are looking for a Woodbridge man accused of assaulting an acquaintance and refusing to let her leave a home in Dumfries, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

Noah Jeremiah Barfield, 23, of Nuttal Place, is wanted for on abduction and assault and battery charges.

A 22-year-old Manassas woman told police at 12:40 a.m. July 29 that Barfield and she had gotten into an argument that escalated.

"During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim multiple times," Perok said in a press release. "At one point, the accused allegedly held the victim against her will and would not let her leave the residence."

Barfield eventually let the woman leave, but she reported minor injuries, Perok said. Officers obtained warrants for his arrest after an investigation.

Barfield was convicted last year of brandishing a firearm after pointing a handgun at a Woodbridge man in Merchant Plaza in an unrelated case, court records show.
