Fugitive of the Week: Woman Tied Up in Armed Robbery

Prince William County pcolice dispatched a K-9 to search for the suspect, who remains at large.

Prince William County Police are searching for a Dumfries man after a Woodbridge woman was tied up during an armed robbery. 

Armon Jahmal Roach, 30, of Dry Powder Circle in Dumfries, is wanted on charges of robbery, malicious wounding, abduction and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. 

On Friday at 2:48 a.m., police responded to the Woodbridge Wytestone Suites on Gideon Drive for a robbery. The victim, a 29-year-old Stafford woman, reported she had made arrangements to meet an unknown man at the above hotel. Once they were inside a hotel room, the man—who police identified as Roach—pulled out a handgun and tied the victim’s hands and feet together. Roach then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled, probably in a vehicle, police said.

The victim reported minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. Police dispatched a K-9 to search for the suspect, but did not find him. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspect as Roach after an investigation. They have obtained warrants for his arrest.
