Homeowner Catches Would-be Burglars in the Act

Police dispatched a K-9, but could not find the suspects, according to Prince William County Police.

A Lake Ridge homeowner intercepted two young men who were trying to enter the residence, Prince William County Police said. 

Police responded at 10:41 a.m. Friday to the report of a burglary on the 11900 block of Oakwood Drive. The homeowner told police that he saw two unknown males outside his rear sliding glass door. After he confronted the suspects, they immediately fled on foot. No one entered the residence and no property was missing.

Officers dispatched a K-9 to search for the suspects and established a perimeter, but were not able to find them.

The first suspect is described as Hispanic, 13-16 years old, 5'10", 150 pounds, with black hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white design, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack.

The second suspect is described as Hispanic, 5'3", 120 pounds, with long black hair and a thin build. He was wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a blue backpack.
