Homicide Suspect Captured in Shenandoah County

Anthony Robert Taglianetti, II, is a suspect in the murder of Clymer Central School Superintendent Keith Reed, Jr.

A suspect in the homicide of Clymer (N.Y.) Central School Superintendent Keith Reed, Jr., was captured today in Shenandoah County, ending a nationwide manhunt, the U.S. Marshals Service of the Eastern District of Virginia reported. 

Woodbridge resident Anthony Robert Taglianetti, II, is a suspect in the investigation surrounding Reed's death on Monday.

U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson announced his capture in a release.

"42-year-old Taglianetti, a former Marine, is suspected of going to New York and murdering Superintendent Reed within the last week," the release stated.

Deputy U.S. Marshals and the U.S. Marshals' Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force found Taglianetti's vehicle in the Fort Valley Road area in Shenandoah County, after investigating multiple leads.

Task force members "conducted a felony traffic stop and took the suspect into custody without incident," the release stated.

Taglianetti will go into the custody of New York law enforcement officials as the investigation continues.
