Lake Ridge Man Charged With Reckless Handling of a Firearm in Triangle

No one was injured and no property was damaged.

A Lake Ridge man was charged with the reckless handling of a firearm in the 3600 block of Wharf Lane in Triangle, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Police responded to the above area for a shooting on July 6 at 11:33 p.m. 

"An investigation revealed that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, exited his vehicle in the above area and fired numerous rounds into the air," Perok said. "The accused fled the area prior to police arrival, but was located by police not far from the above area."

Police got a search warrant for the vehicle and found a rifle, cartridges, and magazines. 

The accused was arrested without a struggle. No one was injured and no property was damaged in the shooting.

His court date is Aug. 16. He is being held on a $100,000 secured bond.
