Man Arrested, Charged with Assault and Battery on Law Officer
Man was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol
A 29-year-old Woodbridge man is facing charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence and resisting arrest after an altercation on Friday afternoon.
Police stopped Noe Alexander Vasquez-Guzman in the 1300 block of Horner Road for an unrelated incident when police detained him for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police reports said that when officers attempted to arrest him he became aggressive and resisted. During the scuffle police said Vasquez-Guzman kicked an officer in the face.

Vasquez-Guzman has a court date for Sept. 30, and is being held on an $8,000 secured bond.
