Man Charged With Rape at Homeless Camp

The 23-year-old victim was asleep in her tent when she was attacked, according to Prince William County Police.

A homeless woman was raped by an acquaintance as she slept in her tent Monday, Prince William County Police said.

Anthony Eugene Wilson, 46, of no fixed address, is charged with rape and forcible sodomy. 

Police responded at 4:11 a.m. to the report of a rape by Potomac Mills Road and Town Center Drive in the Dale City area. The 23-year-old woman reported that she was asleep in her tent when Wilson raped her, then fled the area.

Wilson turned himself in later that morning, police said. He is held without bond pending his court date.
