Man Found Lying on I-95 Thursday Morning
Virginia State Police closed all lanes of traffic on Interstate 95 southbound at Dumfries this morning.
A man was found lying on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 north of Exit 152A for Route 234 (Dumfries) at 8:11 a.m. Thursday morning.
Public Relations Manager for Virginia State Police Corinne Geller said that Virginia State Police were notified this morning and the man was transported to a nearby hospital for "treatment of serious injuries."
All southbound lanes were re-opened to through traffic as of 8:54 a.m. At this time, state police is investigating the circumstances surrounding how and why the individual was in the southbound lanes.
