Man Robs Acquaintance in Dale City

Police say man implied he had a weapon, stole cash from the victim and then ran to a waiting car.

A Fairfax man drove an acquaintance to Dale City only to be robbed at gunpoint by his companion, Prince William County Police said.

The 25-year-old victim reported he picked up the male acquaintance in Lorton and drove him to Freemond Place and Ferndale Road around 11:35 p.m. Nov. 21. Once they parked in the area, the suspect implied he had a gun and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of money before he fled to a waiting vehicle, police said. An unknown driver was inside that vehicle.

The incident was not random, police said. The victim did not report any injuries.
