Man Snatches Over $12K in Diamond Jewelry in Potomac Mills Store

The man asked to see a pair of expensive diamond earrings, then ran off with them, Prince William County Police said.

A man ran off with over $12,000 in jewelry from a Helzberg Diamonds store in Potomac Mills Mall, according to Prince William County Police reports. 

Police responded on Friday at 11:31 a.m. to the store, where employees reported the robbery. They said that the unknown man approached the counter and asked to see a pair of diamond earrings, worth $12,700. As an employee showed the man the earrings, the suspect grabbed them and fled. 

The suspect is described as black, 25-30 years old, 180 pounds, 5'8", with a medium build, brown eyes, beard and short black hair. He was wearing a black hat, black pants and a black shirt.
