Update: Two Arrested in Dale City Burglary

The 17-year-old Stafford suspect turned himself in to Prince William County police Jan. 2 without incident.

Police have arrested one suspect from a burglary and

18-year-old Christopher Laquan Whitaker was located and arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force at a residence in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 4.

Whitaker was previously listed by police as a Woodbridge resident. In the most recent update, Whitaker is listed as having no fixed address. 

Whitaker remains in DC as he awaits extradition to Virginia. Police are still looking for the second suspect, a 17-year-old Stafford male who faces charges of possession of stolen property.

A homeowner in the 5000 block of Kapp Lane in Dale City told police that a burglary happened sometime between 2 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 2 a.m. on Jan. 2. 

Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that entry appeared to have been gained through a locked window. In total, three TVs, a laptop, a car and two gaming consoles were reported missing. The electronics are valued around $2,000. The car, a 2000 red four-door Nissan Xterra, was reported missing from the driveway.
