Pedestrian Killed in Vehicle Collision on Old Bridge Road

Police say speed and alcohol were not factors in this crash.

Woodbridge resident Anthony Hood was killed in a crash involving a vehicle last night on Old Bridge Road, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Hood was reportedly crossing Old Bridge Road near Troupe Street when he stepped in front of the driver of a 1999 Mercury Sable Wagon going east.

"The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he died," Perok said. "The driver of the Mercury remained at the scene. Speed and alcohol are not factors in this collision. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk."
