Police: 11-Year-Old Boy Charged After Pointing BB Gun at Student
The sixth grade male student at Fred Lynn Middle School was charged with brandishing a weapon on school property and assault and battery.
An 11-year-old Woodbridge boy faces charges after he allegedly pointed a BB gun at another 9-year-old student on local school property, Prince William County Police said.
Police responded on Monday at 11:45 a.m. to Vaughn Elementary School, on York Drive in Woodbridge, to investigate an altercation that took place on Friday, around 4 p.m.
Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the department, said that an 11-year-old male student, a sixth grader at Fred Lynn Middle School, "was involved in an altercation" with a 9-year-old male student after school was dismissed.

"During the encounter, the 11 year old displayed a BB gun and pointed it towards the other student," Perok said in a press release. "The school had already been dismissed for the day; however the altercation did occur on school property."
The boy did not fire any shots, Perok said. He is charged with brandishing a weapon on school property and assault and battery.
