Police: $5,600 in Golf Cart Damage in Club Break-In

Business alarm sounded, but police not notified, according to Prince William County Police.

An area golf club is in repair-mode after vandals broke into the facility this weekend and caused $5,6000 in damage to multiple golf carts.

An employee at Piedmont Golf Club in Haymarket contacted police early Sunday morning when it was discovered that there had been a break-in, according to Prince William County Police.

Unknown persons activated an alarm at 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police were not notified when the alarm was activated, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"Entry is believed to have been made into the garage area of the business," Perok wrote in a statement. "Multiple golf carts, valued around $5,600, were found damaged."
