Police: 68 Arrests in Heroin, Prescription Crackdown

Detectives arrested dozens of suspects in a three-day drug crackdown that included searching 19 locations, according to Prince William County Police.

Focused on heroin and prescription medication dealers, the investigation was handled by the Prince William County-Manassas City-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force, in conjunction with additional units of the Prince William County Police Special Investigations Bureau.

Nicknamed “Dragon Slayer”, the three-month operation ended with raids June 24-26. It included warrants for 86 individuals and the arrest of 68 of those suspects, according to Prince William County Police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

Officers seized more than $100,000 in cash; suspected illegal narcotics including heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana; suspected prescription medications; evidence of distribution; paraphernalia; and multiple firearms including handguns, shotguns and rifles.
