Police have made an arrest in an April armed robbery at a Papa Johns in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police. The suspect also is believed to be responsible for a failed robbery attempt at a second Papa Johns location.

Arrested Monday, Haakim Akil-Asad Brown-Bey, 24, of 2128 Young St SE in Washington, D.C., is charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, attempted use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and abduction.

After 1 a.m. April 22, a 23-year-old Papa Johns delivery driver was walking to his car at the pizza shop at 14513 Jefferson Davis Highway when he was approached by a man police have identified as Brown-Bey.

"During the encounter, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the victim back inside the business," according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok. "Once inside, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot."

A night earlier, on April 21, a man attempted to enter the Papa Johns at 13560 Minnieville Road, according to police. The man was carrying what appeared to be a handgun, but the doors were locked and he eventually left before police arrived.

Brown-Bey was arrested Monday in Washington, D.C., and was awaiting extradition Tuesday afternoon, according to Perok.
