Police Ask for Help in Shots Fired Calls

Police have investigated several calls for shots fired in the same general area for about a month. No injuries have been reported and police have no descriptions for suspects.

The first call of shots fired was reported on Feb. 5 at 1:16 a.m. in the area of Leatherwood Lane and Dashiell Place in Dale City.

A caller reported to police that several shots had been heard in the area. A witness told police that he was returning home when he observed a vehicle driving without headlights. The witness honked his horn in an attempt to get the driver to turn the headlights on.

After honking the horn, the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed and an occupant pointed a gun out the sunroof firing several rounds. No injuries were reported as a result of the shots being fired. No description of any occupants could be given.

On Feb. 18 police received several calls for shots fired in the 13100 block of Queensdale Drive. Callers heard shots but could not seen any suspects.

In a similar incident on Feb. 26 police returned to the 13200 block of Queensdale Drive for shots fired, no shooters were seen.

On Tuesday, responded to the area of Qualls Ln and Queen Chapel Rd in Woodbridge for a call of shots fired. Several callers reported to police that they had heard, what was believed to be, several gun shots in the area above.
