Update: Police ID Bank of America Robbery Suspect

A 27-year-old Dale City man is accused of the robbery.

Update April 13, 2:17 p.m.: 

Prince William County Police have arrested a Dale City man who is accused of robbery at the Bank of America on Thursday.

Police public information officer Jonathan Perok said no money was taken during the robbery.

Khalil Ibrahim Sillah, 27, of 4728 Kellogg Drive faces a charge of robbery set for June 19. Sillah is held without bond. 

Update 2:43 p.m.: Suspect Arrested

Prince William County Police Public Information Officer Jonathan Perok said the Bank of America was robbed at about 1:36 p.m. Thursday. 

"The clerk reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank, approached the counter and passed a note demanding money," said Perok in an email. "The suspect implied he had a weapon, however, no weapon was seen. No injuries were reported."

Perok said the suspect fled the scene as police were arriving and that units on the perimeter quickly located the subject in the area of Prince William Parkway and Church Hill Drive where he was detained without incident. 

Arrest information for the suspect has not been released.

Original Post: Bank Robbed 

Prince William County police are flooding the area near the on Route 1 and Prince William Parkway after a robbery Thursday afternoon.

Prince William County Public Information Officer Jonathan Perok said the Bank of America at 13976 Jefferson Davis Highway was robbed.

was placed in secure-the-building mode Thursday afternoon following police activity in the area. This action is precautionary and staff and students are safe, said the school system via its Facebook page. Parents are asked not to call or visit the school.
