Police Blotter: Assault by Mob, Brandishing, Reckless Endangerment

The following information was supplied by the Prince William County police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Prince William County police reported two assault by mobs, reckless endangerment and brandishing this week. 

Pizza Delivery Man Robbed 

A 31-year-old Woodbridge man was delivering pizzas to the 14100 block of Mathews Dr on Saturday when he was approached by a group of five unknown men after getting out of his car.

The man told police that the five men assaulted him before taking the pizzas and fleeing the area. He was flown to an area hospital with severe injuries. The assailants could only be described as black males between 17 and 20-years-old.

Police responded to Mathews Drive at 10:05 p.m.

Two Men Assaulted by Mob

A 47 and 35-year-old man were walking in the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway Saturday at 10 p.m. when they were approached by five unknown men.

Both victims were assaulted by the group before they were able to get away and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. 

No descriptions for the assailants were available from the victims other than that they were black males between the ages of 16 and 18, all around six-feet-tall. 

Road Rage Leads to Brandishing Charge

A 41-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested Friday after a 41-year-old Dumfries woman reported to police that she was in a road rage incident with the accused.

Police reports state that the woman said Winston Colon, of Woodbridge, allegedly became aggravated and pointed a handgun at her. Colon was located and charged with brandishing a firearm. His court date is set for July 11.

Four-year-old Left Alone at Residence

Police arrested Yves Ghislane Tchoukouani, of Woodbridge, Friday after two children told school staff their sibling, a 4-year-old girl, had been left alone at their residence in the 1800 block of Old Post Tr. 

School officials immediately called police who then found the girl alone in the residence. Police reports state that the girl was unharmed but that she did have access to unsafe objects within the house. The girl was supposed to be left in the care of a Tchoukouani, a family member, and was left alone for less than two hours, police said.

Tchoukouani now faces a charge of felony reckless endangerment and was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
