Police Blotter: Assault on Teen, Reckless Handling of Firearm

Brandishing/Assault & Battery 

Prince William County police are looking for three people that allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old male Wednesday.

The teen and a male acquaintance were walking in the 3200 block of Ridge View Ct. in Lake Ridge Wednesday, according to police reports, when they were approached by three unknown persons, two males and a female.

Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that one of the men displayed a handgun and hit the teen in the head, knocking him to the ground. 

Reports say that a witness observing the incident called police and the three people ran away on foot. The teen sustained minor injuries.

Police are looking for two black males, described as between 18 and 22-years-old, five-feet, nine inches tall and five-feet, seven inches tall. The first male is described as 150 pounds of thin build with short black hair nad brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt.

The second male was described as the same build, hair and eye color and was last seen wearing a red shirt. 

The third person was described as a black female, between 17 and 18-years-old, five-feet, four inches tall, 110 pounds of thin build with black hair and brown eyes. 

Reckless Handling of a Firearm

Police responded to a call of shots fired at the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Neabsco Mills Road shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

Callers reported to police that several gun shots had been heard in the area and a vehicle was seen leaving at a high rate of speed. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was not located. Callers could not provide police with a description of the driver or possible occupants of the vehicle.

Police are looking for a black low-sitting, four-door "boxy" sedan with tinted windows and a gold logo on the trunk.
