Police Blotter: Malicious Wounding; Crime Solvers Case

Woodbridge incidents from the past week, as reported by Prince William County Police.

Malicious Wounding
A 28-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested Monday just after midnight after an altercation resulted in severe injuries, police said.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge for a fight on Monday. The victim, a 28-year-old Alexandria man, told police that he was in a physical fight with the accused, Shaun Adrian Moore, 28. Police said that the victim sustained “severe injuries to the face” and was treated at an area hospital. Moore was taken into custody without incident.

Moore is charged with malicious wounding and has a court date set for April 4.

Crime Solvers Case: Larcenies from Autos

Police are asking for information in three larceny from auto cases in the past month.

The latest report, on Sunday, says that police responded to the area of Jonathan Court and Vals Way in Montclair for several larcenies from vehicles. Police said that their investigation shows the vehicles were targeted. Property was removed from the vehicles and dumped in surrounding neighborhoods.

On Saturday, police responded to the Lindsay Chevrolet dealership at 15605 Jefferson Davis Highway for several larcenies from vehicles.

Management of Lindsay Chevrolet told police that between 10:50 p.m. on Friday and 8:50 a.m. on Saturday 20 tires and 20 rims were stolen from five vehicles parked on the lot. A sixth vehicle had a rear window smashed out, police said. The loss of items is valued around $15,500, the incident could be connected to a similar dealership theft in Manassas on March 7.
