Driving Under the Influence

Police arrested a 40-year-old Woodbridge woman Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police stopped Vera Elizabeth Hull, of Woodbridge, in the 13300 block of Gordon Boulevard at 1 a.m. Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that Hull is currently employed with Prince William County Schools but was not acting in the performance of any duties at the time of the arrest.

Attempted Burglary

Police investigated a call for an attempted burglary in the 15000 block of Cardin Place on Saturday after a homeowner said that someone tried to break in by prying the front door open.

No one entered the house, police said, and  no items were reported missing. 

Reckless Handling of a Firearm
Several callers reported to police that they had heard what they believed to be gunshots in the 13200 block of Queensdale Drive on Saturday.

Police subsequently checked the area and found no injuries or damage to properties.
