Police are looking for two suspects who reportedly tried to burglarize a Triangle residence on Cabin Road on Sept. 18, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.
Police initially responded at 3 p.m. that same day for the report of a burglary in progress.
"The homeowner reported to police that he was on an upper floor of his residence when he heard his doorbell ring. Once at the door, the homeowner observed two unknown men run to the rear of his residence," Perok said. "At that point, the homeowner heard a loud noise coming from a rear door. It appeared that the men attempted to enter his residence by kicking the rear door. The men fled after being observed by the homeowner."
No one entered the home and no property was stolen. Police used a K-9 unit to search for the suspects.
The suspects are described as black men between 20 and 25 years old, about 6 feet tall, 150-175 pounds, with thin builds and black hair. One suspect reportedly wore a red jacket and the other reportedly wore a black and white jacket.
