Police Charge Two MS-13 Gang Members with Burglary

Three firearms were reported missing from a 2011 burglary.

Prince William County Gang Unit detectives have arrested a man and teenager for a burglary in the 1300 block of Saxon Street last November.

A homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, 2011 and 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 25.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the residence, but that someone could have entered the house through an unsecured window.

Three firearms -- including two long guns and one handgun -- ammunition and a carrying case valued around $970 were reported missing in the burglarly. 

Police said one of the suspects, 17, was found at his address where he was arrested without incident.

Rene Anthony Garcia-Torres, 18, of no fixed address is currently serving a jail sentence on unrelated charges at the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford, police said. 

Police said both suspects are known MS-13 gang members. The firearms reported missing in the burglary were recovered during the investigation.

Garcia-Torres was charged with burglary, grand larceny, larceny of a firearm with intent to sell or distribute and unlawful possession and transportation of a firearm.

The 17-year-old man was charged with burglary, grand larceny and larceny of a firearm with intent to sell or distribute. His court date was unavailable and he is currently being held at a juvenile detention facility, police said.
