Police: Delivery Drivers Robbed in Separate Incidents

Strong armed robberies alleged in each case, according to Prince William County Police.

Officers are investigating two incidents this weekend where food delivery drivers were victims of strong armed robberies, according to Prince William County Police.

At 4:18 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 4200 block of El Dorado Drive in Woodbridge. The victim, a 28-year-old Woodbridge man, reported to police that the he was delivering Chinese food to a home in the area when he was approached by two unknown men, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"During the encounter, the men forcibly took the food from the victim before fleeing in a vehicle," Perok said in a release. 

Police have a description of the vehicle, but did not release the information. 

On Saturday night before midnight, officers responded to the 3000 block of Sigel Court in Dumfries regarding a robbery.

The victim, 25-years-old, of Woodbridge, told police he was delivering pizza to a home in the area when he was approached by a large group of men.

"During the encounter, the men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing on foot," Perok said.
