Physician allegedly wrote prescriptions for pain medicine without medical exams, according to Prince William County Police.

An Old Bridge Road physician is the latest charged in a sweeping narcotics investigation in Woodbridge and Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

On Tuesday, drug officers executed a search warrant at the Neurological Center of Northern Virginia, at 2050 Old Bridge Road, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

"During the investigation, detectives learned that the accused, a licensed physician, was writing prescriptions for pain medications without properly performing necessary medical exams," Perok said.

The investigation stemmed from the Dragon Slayer Operation by the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force.

Samad Orafee, 53, of the 8300 block of Alvord Drive in McLean, is charged with two counts of prescription fraud. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
