Police: Drunk Teen Struck Security Guards at Potomac Mills

The 15-year-old also spat at an officer who escorted him to a cruiser, according to Prince William County Police.

A drunk Woodbridge teenager assaulted Potomac Mills security guards who had detained him for trying to open car doors in the parking lot, Prince William County Police said. 

The 15-year-old male is now charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, two counts of assault and battery and intoxication in public. 

Security guards found the teenager at 5:16 p.m. Friday trying to open multiple car doors in the parking lot of Potomac Mills Mall, according to police. The teenager responded by hitting the two guards in the face, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.

Officers arrived and took custody of the teenager; after they put him inside the cruiser, he spat at an officer, according to Perok.
