Police: Forcible Sodomy and Molestation at Andrew Leitch Park
The victim was reportedly assaulted more than once at the park, Prince William County Police said.
Police have charged Sean David Thornton, 36, of no fixed address, with forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties with a child, after a female teen reported that she had been sexually assaulted at Andrew Leitch Park at 5301 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.
Special Victims Unit detectives began investigating the assault on Nov. 8. The victim reported that she had been assaulted more than once between July and September of this year.
"The investigation revealed that the accused would take the victim to a remote area of the park where the assaults would occur," Perok said. "Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on Nov. 11."

Thornton's court date is unavailable. He is being held without bond.
