Police: Gas Station Robber Escapes in Stolen Car

Public's help sought in tracking down suspect, according to Prince William County Police.

The man accused of robbing a Woodbridge area gas station faces additional charges after it was determined the car he used to flee the scene had been stolen, according to Prince William County Police.

Joel Don Miller, 49, of 9405 Hensley Rd in Manassas, is wanted for robbery and grand larceny auto. He is described as a white male, 5’11”, 150lbs with thin build, brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, blue jeans and gray hat.

At 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the Sheetz at 4021 Prince William Parkway regarding a robbery. An employee of the store told police that an unknown man, later identified as Miller, reached across the counter and stole money from the register as the employee completed a transaction.

Miller allegedly fled the scene in a car parked outside that had been reported stolen in Manassas earlier the same night after the owner left the keys in the ignition.
