Police Identify Fatal Stabbing Victim, Arrest Suspect

Suspect charged with murder and aggravated malicious wounding after late-night incident Wednesday, according to Prince William County Police.

Prince William County Police has identified the victim in a fatal stabbing late Wednesday in the Woodbridge area.

Alvin Elroy Cannon, 44, of Woodbridge, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. A second victim, 33, of Manassas, walked into an area hospital with stab wounds to his upper body. He is expected to recover.

Brandon Curtis Hampton Henry, 31, of no fixed address, is charged with murder and aggravated malicious wounding. He is being held without bond.

At 11:44 p.m. Wednesday, offers responded to the 15000 block of Cloverdale Road to investigate a stabbing. 

Cannon's body was found in the front yard of a residence with stab wounds to his chest.

Henry was identified as the suspect and arrested at a home in the 14400 block of Fillarette Street, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"This incident was not random and appears to have stemmed from a gathering at a residence in the above area," Perok said. 

This is the third murder in Prince William County in 2014.
