Police Investigation Underway Concerning Kilby Elementary School Principal
School announced a retired PWCS principal would be coming back.
principal Jenny Bermant has been placed on administrative leave and is under police investigation, the school announced Monday.
In a statement posted on the school's website, Bermant was placed on leave following an investigation by the Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) internal auditor and Risk Management and Security personnel. The school system did not release further details.

"The checks and balances in place at the School Division worked as designed," said the statement. "The results of the investigation were turned over to the Prince William County Police Department. Being a personnel and police matter, further details of the investigation cannot be released at this time."
Former Ashland Elementary School principal Amy Jordan, who retired after 32 years with the school system, will be in a transitional role at Kilby while the investigation continues.
