Police Looking For Suspect Who Robbed Burke and Herbert Bank

Prince William County Police need the public's help in identifying the man who reportedly robbed the bank after passing the teller a note.

Police are asking the public to assist them in identifying a man who reportedly robbed Burke and Herbert Bank at 14008 Smoketown Road in Woodbridge on Feb. 23, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police initially responded to the bank at 9:56 a.m. for the report of a robbery. Employees told police that an unknown man came into the bank and walked up to the counter.

"Once there, the man passed the teller a note demanding money," Perok said. "The man took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing area, possibly in a vehicle. No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported."

Police are looking for a white male, about 5-foot-7, weighing about 160 to 170 pounds, of a medium build with a tear drop tattoo by his left eye. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a white turtleneck shirt and jeans.

Police are also looking for a black, two-door sports car like a Toyota Celica. If you have information about this case, police ask you to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS. You can give an anonymous tip. If your tip leads to an arrest, you could earn up to a $1,000.
