Police Seek Suspects in Attempted Armed Robbery

Two men demanded money from customer services cashier at a local Kmart, officials say.

Police are on the lookout for two men who allegedly robbed the Kmart in Dale City on Monday. 

Prince William County Police Public Information Officer Jonathan Perok said two unknown men entered the store Monday and approached a cashier in customer services.

"One of the men displayed a firearm and demanded money from the register," Perok said.

The employee refused and both men left the store without further incident, according to police reports. No injuries were reported.

Police are looking for two black males, reported to be between 25 and 30 years old. According to police reports, the first male was 6-foot-1 of medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and black sunglasses, police said. 

The second man, who police said was armed with a handgun, was said to be around 5-foot-8 of medium build with short black hair, brown eyes and a goatee, police said. 

Police reports state that man was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, tan shorts and a blue and gray plaid hat.
