Woodbridge resident Steven Bernard has been charged with brandishing a firearm after an incident Aug. 21 in which two men reportedly brandished firearms at each other, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. The other suspect has not been found yet.
Police responded at 6:44 p.m. to the Walgreens at 14083 Jefferson Davis Highway for a report of brandishing.
"The victim, a 33-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was exiting the store when he observed two vehicles pulled into the parking lot. The drivers of both vehicles then reportedly got out of the vehicles and brandished firearms toward one another," Perok said. "At one point the men brandished their weapons toward the victim. No shots were fired. Both men got into their vehicles and fled prior to police arrival."
Police found one vehicle near Jefferson Davis Highway and Blackburn Road and arrested Bernard without incident. His court date is unavailable.
