Police: Man Stabbed With Knife in Woodbridge

A Woodbridge woman was charged with malicious wounding, according to Prince William County Police.

Police have charged a woman with malicious wounding after a Woodbridge man said he was stabbed with a knife on Bayside Avenue on April 9, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Temeko Ramsey Sanders, 33, of Woodbridge, was arrested that same day. Police initially responded to the area at 1:30 a.m. on April 9 for the report of an assault.

"The victim, a 27-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated," Perok said. "During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim, causing non-life threatening injuries."

The victim left the house and contacted police, and police arrested Sanders after an investigation. Sanders' court date and bond information are unavailable.
