Police: Man Struck Officer at Station
Michael Dean Kennedy, of Woodbridge, is charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and driving while intoxicated.
Prince William County Police charged a Woodbridge man after he allegedly struck an officer, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.
Michael Dean Kennedy, 54, of Bridgeton Court in Woodbridge, is charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and driving while intoxicated.
On Thursday at 11:17 p.m., police were processing Kennedy at the Garfield Police Station on Donald Curtis Drive, on a charge of driving under the influence, when he struck one of the officers, Perok said.

Kennedy was arrested on the 3000 block of Bridgeton Court earlier that day. During processing for the arrest, Kennedy "became agitated and struck one of the officers," Perok said.
No injuries were reported. Kennedy was detained without further incident.
