Police: Man Threw Glass of Water and Assaulted Woman

A 19-year-old Stafford victim sustained a significant injury to her arm, Prince William County Police said.

A Woodbridge man faces charges after allegedly assaulting an acquaintance and injuring her arm, Prince William County Police said. 

Michael Anthony Stump, 22, of Featherstone Road, is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and domestic assault and battery. He is being held without bond.

Police responded on Thursday at 8:25 p.m. to the 2300 block of Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge for a report of an assault. The 19-year-old female victim reported that she and Stump were in the car together when they began to argue.

During the argument, Stump threw a glass of water at the woman and assaulted her, police said. 

The woman sustained a significant injury to her arm as a result of the altercation, according to police.
