Police: Man Wanted for Setting Up Hotel Room Robbery

Police have identified two suspects and continue to investigate the identity of the third man.

A Woodbridge woman was set up to be robbed at a Dumfries motel because of a domestic altercation, Prince William County Police said.

Police responded on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. to the Comfort Inn on Old Stage Road in Dumfries, where a 23-year-old Woodbridge woman reported a robbery. She told police that she had made arrangements to meet with an unknown man in a room at the inn. When the man arrived, the woman recognized him as someone who she had met a few years ago.

While inside the room, the man became nervous and then left the room. He returned with another man—later identified as Johnathon Davon Coleman, 21, of Knolle Drive, Woodbridge. The victim refused to allow the men to enter the room.

"At that point, Coleman forced his way into the room with the other man," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release. "Once inside, Coleman displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of a laptop, cell phone, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before both men fled the room."

The victim reported minor injuries. Detectives found during their investigation that a third man—identified as Juoquim Lequan Young, 24, of Edsall Road in Alexandria—had orchestrated the robbery because of a domestic altercation between him and the victim, Perok said.

Police obtained warrants for Young's arrest on the charge of conspiracy to commit a felony. Coleman is wanted for robbery and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The investigation continues into the identity of the third man.
