Police: Mob Assaults and Attempts to Rob Woodbridge Man

Police are looking for a group of men who reportedly assaulted and attempted to rob a man on Easy Street in Woodbridge on Sept. 13, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police initially responded on Sept. 13 at 11:11 p.m. for the report of an assault.

"The victim, a 23-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by a group of unknown men," Perok said. "The men assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspects went through his pockets and demanded money. A passing vehicle caused the group to disperse."

Nothing was stolen, and the victim could not describe his attackers. The victim sustained minor injuries.
